How do I continue receiving coaching services? How often do we meet?

The second step is to complete the Coaching Agreement (if you haven't already). After you've gotten approval in the FREE Initial Consultation and completed your Coaching Agreement form, you are free to schedule your first coaching session! You can both schedule and pay on the Booking Page.

On the Booking Page, you can choose between 3 session types: a 50 minute session, a 75 minute session and a 50 minute sliding scale session. Sliding scale approval is obtained in the FREE Initial Consultation.

Clients have different preferences for scheduling their sessions. Some choose to book their next appointment at the end of each session, while others schedule as their availability allows.

Some clients prefer regular meetings (weekly or bi-weekly), while others opt to space out their sessions based on their evolving needs.

Clients typically start with an average of 3-5 sessions, but there are no requirements or expectations.

You have the flexibility to choose the number of sessions that best meet your needs.

What client needs are NOT a fit for spiritual.direct?

1. Mental Health Disorders – Coaching is NOT a replacement for therapy. Conditions such as depression, anxiety, or trauma that require clinical intervention from a licensed therapist or psychiatrist.

2. Substance Abuse, Addiction – Issues requiring specialized treatment or recovery programs.

3. Severe Emotional Distress – Ongoing emotional crises, grief, or trauma that need therapeutic support.

4. Lack of Self-Motivation – Coaching works best when the client is motivated to take action. A lack of willingness to engage in self-directed change can hinder progress, however, clients with low motivation and willingness may be a fit.

5. Medical Conditions Affecting Behavior – Medical issues that may influence behavior, such as brain injuries or neurological conditions, which may require medical or therapeutic intervention.

6. Legal or Financial Counseling Needs – Situations involving legal advice, financial planning, or business consulting beyond the scope of coaching expertise.

7. At-risk or crisis needs – Suicidality, homicidality and/or self-harm behavior that places the client at-risk.

8. Those not genuinely interested in exploring Christianity.

9. Must be 18 years old or older.

How do I terminate services?

I understand that circumstances can change, and you may decide to end coaching services at any time. If you feel you’ve achieved your goals or that coaching is no longer the right fit, you’re welcome to conclude our work together.

To terminate coaching, simply notify me by email or during a session. I’ll review your progress, discuss any remaining concerns, and ensure you feel confident moving forward. There are no long-term commitments or cancellation fees—you’re in control of your coaching journey from start to finish.

I’m committed to making this process seamless and respectful of your needs.

What's the Difference Between a Minister and Pastor?

A Christian minister is a broad term referring to anyone ordained or appointed to serve in a leadership or teaching capacity within the church. Ministers may fulfill various roles, including preaching, teaching, administering sacraments, or serving in specialized areas like missionary work or chaplaincy.

A pastor, on the other hand, specifically refers to someone who shepherds or leads a local congregation, focusing on spiritual care, counseling, and nurturing the faith of church members. The word pastor means shepherd, and this role emphasizes building relationships and guiding the spiritual growth of a community.

In short, while all pastors are ministers, not all ministers are pastors. Ministers can serve in diverse capacities within the church, whereas pastors are particularly responsible for the spiritual well-being and leadership of a congregation.

Are coaching services confidential?

Coaching services are confidential but have limits. For more information see the coaching agreement here.

Questions?

What does "ecumenical" mean? "Ecumenical minister" ?

Ecumenical refers to efforts aimed at promoting unity and cooperation among different Christian denominations. The word comes from the Greek oikoumene, meaning "the whole inhabited world," and is often used in contexts where churches work together across doctrinal or denominational lines.

Ecumenical movements seek to overcome divisions and focus on shared beliefs, fostering dialogue, joint worship, and collaborative efforts in service, mission work, or theological discussions.

An ecumenical minister is a Christian leader who actively participates in or promotes ecumenical activities. This minister may work with various Christian denominations, encouraging unity and cooperation while respecting the distinct traditions of each group.

Ecumenical ministers often engage in interdenominational services, dialogues, and joint outreach programs, helping to bridge divides and focus on common Christian values and missions. Their work is rooted in the belief that the Christian faith can be more powerful when churches come together in shared purpose, despite their differences.

Are results guaranteed?

While I am committed to providing you with the tools, support, and guidance necessary for your personal growth, results cannot be guaranteed. Each individual’s journey is unique, and success depends on various factors, including your level of commitment, openness to change, and active participation in the coaching process.

Coaching is a collaborative effort, and the progress you make is influenced by your willingness to engage with the process.

Together, we will set goals and create a personalized plan to help you achieve your desired outcomes. Your journey is yours to shape, and I’m here to support you every step of the way!
